2. Basis of Contract
2.1 These Terms govern the supply of goods by Alexis Filters to you via this website.
2.2 Each order placed by you constitutes an offer to purchase goods in accordance with these Terms.
2.3 An order shall only be deemed accepted, and a binding contract formed, when the goods are dispatched (or made available for collection).
2.4 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Alexis Filters. You acknowledge that you have not relied on any statement, promise, representation, assurance, or warranty not expressly set out in these Terms.
2.5 No terms are implied by trade, custom, practice, or course of dealing.
3. Product Information & Accuracy
3.1 Product images, descriptions, and specifications are provided for illustrative and guidance purposes only and may not precisely reflect the goods supplied.
3.2 Product specifications may vary depending on manufacturer or supplier. You are responsible for confirming suitability and exact requirements before placing an order, particularly for technical or safety-critical applications.
3.3 Where a product is unavailable and we are unable to contact you within 48 hours, we reserve the right to supply a direct equivalent alternative in order to maintain service continuity.
3.4 Information displayed on this website (including prices, stock availability, lead times, and product data) is sourced from manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party systems, including live data feeds and APIs. While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, Alexis Filters does not guarantee that any such information is current, complete, or free from error and shall not be liable for inaccuracies or delays arising from third-party data sources.
3.5 Use of third-party or OEM part numbers is for cross-reference purposes only and does not imply exact equivalence unless expressly confirmed in writing.
4. Ordering Process
4.1 Orders are placed by following the on-screen instructions at checkout.
4.2 You are responsible for ensuring that all order details (including part numbers, quantities, delivery and billing information) are accurate and complete.
4.3 Receipt of an order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance of your order.
4.4 We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our discretion.
4.5 Orders placed outside normal business hours will be processed on the next working day.
5. Pricing & Payment
5.1 All prices are shown exclusive of VAT and delivery charges unless stated otherwise.
5.2 The total price payable, including VAT and delivery, will be displayed before you confirm your order.
5.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be made in full at the time of order.
5.4 Prices are subject to change due to supplier cost increases, exchange-rate movements, or other factors outside our control.
5.5 Any quotation provided is valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
6. Delivery & Risk
6.1 UK orders are typically dispatched within 1–4 working days after payment clears, unless otherwise stated on the product page at the time of order.
6.2 Where goods are sourced from a supplier, additional lead time may apply.
6.3 International deliveries may be subject to customs clearance and additional delays.
6.4 Delivery shall be made to the address provided at checkout. You are responsible for ensuring access and availability to receive the goods.
6.5 Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery to the specified address or, where collection applies, when collected by you or your carrier.
7. Customs, Duties & Export Compliance
7.1 For deliveries outside the UK, you are responsible for compliance with all applicable import and export regulations.
7.2 Any duties, taxes, or customs charges are payable by you.
7.3 Alexis Filters accepts no liability for delays, refusals, or seizures by customs authorities.
8. Cancellations & Returns
8.1 Orders may be cancelled prior to dispatch by notifying us in writing.
8.2 Refunds for cancelled orders will be processed within 28 days.
8.3 You must inspect goods immediately upon receipt and notify us in writing within 3 working days of delivery if goods are damaged, faulty, incorrect, or incomplete.
8.4 If no notification is received within this period, the goods shall be deemed accepted.
8.5 All returns must be pre-authorised by Alexis Filters.
8.6 Returned goods must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
8.7 For B2B customers, approved returns may be subject to a restocking charge of up to 25%.
8.8 Custom-made, special-order, or non-stock items are non-returnable unless faulty.
9. Warranty
9.1 Products supplied may be covered by a manufacturer or OEM warranty. Any such warranty is provided by the manufacturer or OEM, not Alexis Filters.
9.2 Fitting filters supplied by Alexis Filters will not invalidate OEM warranties, provided installation and usage comply with manufacturer guidance.
9.3 Except as expressly stated, all warranties, conditions, and representations implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9.4 Alexis Filters shall not be liable for damage arising from misuse, incorrect installation, unsuitable application, or external factors beyond our control.
10. Force Majeure
10.1 Alexis Filters shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, labour disputes, supply-chain disruption, war, terrorism, government action, or failure of utilities or transport networks.
10.2 Performance shall be suspended for the duration of the Force Majeure event.
11. Liability
11.1 Alexis Filters shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business, revenue, data, or goodwill.
11.2 Our total liability in respect of any claim shall not exceed the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim.
11.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Retention of Title
12.1 Ownership of goods shall not pass to you until full payment has been received.
12.2 Until ownership transfers, you shall store the goods separately and allow us access to recover them if payment is overdue.
13. Intellectual Property
13.1 All website content, product data, branding, images, and documentation remain the intellectual property of Alexis Filters or its licensors.
13.2 No content may be reproduced or used without prior written consent.
14. Data Protection
14.1 Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
15. Product Suitability & Technical Advice
15.1 You are responsible for ensuring goods are suitable for their intended use.
15.2 Any technical advice provided is given in good faith and does not constitute a binding specification or warranty.
16. Website Availability
16.1 We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website and may suspend access for maintenance or operational reasons.
17. Consumer Right to Cancel (B2C Only)
17.1 Consumers have the right to cancel within 14 days of receipt, except for custom or non-stock items.
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
18.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
18.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
